Lilly says earnings to come in strong... Analysts surveyed by Thomson Financial predicted earnings of $3.08 in 2006. Lilly shares closed yesterday at $53.41, up $1.20 or 2 percent. The company said it expects to submit five new products to government regulators by 2009. It plans to submit an application for Arxxant, a drug to prevent blindness caused by diabetes, to regulators by the end of February. Another drug that has piqued analysts' interest is the blood thinner Prasugrel, which the company expects to submit in 2007. Analysts agree Prasugrel has blockbuster potential. Lilly also said it plans to reduce the average development cost for drugs by one-third to $800 million from $1.2 billion by the end of the decade. ^^ Back to top E-mail this Print this Subscribe RSS feeds .gcitopjobs a:link {font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10px; text-decoration: none; color: #000099} .gcitopjobs a:visited {font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10px; text-decoration: none; color: #000099} .gcitopjobs a:active {font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10px; text-decoration: none; color: #990000} .gcitopjobs a:hover {font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10px; text-decoration: none; color: #990000} Home Cars ...
