Jin Chung, 47, sat in court yesterday with his attorney, Mark Pelosky.

Chung has a long, jagged scar on the left side of his neck.

Both were slashed in the neck and taken by ambulance to Beth Israel Deaconness Hospital in Boston where they both underwent surgery.

Police said Westbrook walked through the Chungs’ unlocked kitchen door identified Westbrook around 7:50 p.m.

The couple later identified him as their attacker.

The attack occurred in front of the couple’s 19-year-old daughter Tiffany, police said.

She was not injured.

"It’s not the scar, it’s the emotional impact," Pelosky said.

"Right now, they are trying to get out of the hole." Westbrook’s family lives at 25 Cheney St.

The Chungs live at 21 Cheney St.
