Sales of Strattera, Lilly's treatment for attention deficit disorder, slipped 8 percent to $168 million, hurt by the recent placement of a prominent warning inside the packaging that it may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts among children and adolescents.

Sales of Lilly's diabetes products rose 11 percent to $750 million, helped by the launch of Byetta and higher prices for older treatments.

Injectable osteoporosis drug Forteo jumped 59 percent to $118 million, while sales of older treatment Evista rose 3 percent to $265 million.

Sales of Alimta, a new treatment for lung cancer, rose 86 percent to $136 million.

Sales of Cialis, the anti-impotence pill sold in partnership with ICOS Corp.

(ICOS.O: Quote, Profile, Research), rose 38 percent to $211 million.

Pfizer Inc.'s (PFE.N: Quote, Profile, Research) rival Viagra suffered a sales decline in the quarter, hurt by competition from Lilly's longer-acting product.
